National Coming Out Week: Kick Off

National Coming Out Week marks the beginning of LGBTQ History Month and serves as an opportunity to celebrate the many ways LGBTQIA+ people build community, foster resilience, and create spaces where individuals can live more authentically. The Losquadro Keller LGBTQ Resource Center invites students, faculty, and staff to kick off the week by exploring the history and significance of National Coming Out Day while learning about the diverse identities, experiences, and resources that make up our campus and broader LGBTQIA+ community.

National Coming Out Week: Resource Fair

Hosted during LGBTQ History Month, the National Coming Out Week Resource Fair highlights the wide network of on- and off-campus resources available to LGBTQIA+ students. Bringing together student organizations, campus partners, and community groups, the fair offers affirming materials, opportunities for connection, and visibility for all stages of the coming out journey. This annual event celebrates inclusivity, collaboration, and the ongoing commitment to fostering safety, support, and joy within the Titan community.

¡Viva La Muxe!

Explore the history and importance of the Muxe community. Learn how Muxe identity is rooted in culture and how Indigenous, queer, and Latinx communities have preserved traditions, challenged gender norms, and created belonging across generations and spaces. Together, we'll celebrate joy, existence, and community. Hosted by the Latinx Community Resource Center, the Native American & Indigenous Resource Center, and the Losquadro Keller LGBTQ Resource Center in honor of LGBTQ History Month.

CSUF Drag Show

Hosted each fall during LGBTQ History Month, the CSUF Drag Show celebrates drag as an art form of self-expression, cultural resistance, and queer joy. Featuring student, alumni, and local performers, this lively event creates an affirming space that honors gender diversity and the rich history of drag within LGBTQIA+ culture. Blending comedy, dance, and fashion with the festive energy of Halloween, the show fosters community, visibility, and education through performance and celebration.

My Intersectionality Was My Biggest Bully: Queer Identity in the SWANA Community Panel & Mixer will be an educational and community-building program hosted by the SWANA Resource Center that creates space for authentic conversations surrounding queer Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) identities, belonging, and community. Through a panel discussion featuring queer SWANA students, alumni, and community members, participants will explore the diverse experiences, identities, and perspectives that exist within the SWANA community while fostering dialogue that challenges stereotypes, promotes understanding, and celebrates the richness and complexity of intersectional lived experiences.

Titan Pride Gala

TITAN PRIDE GALA is a celebratory evening honoring LGBTQIA+ student achievement, community resilience, and cultural pride. This signature event features performances by current student and alumni drag artists, the student success recognition, and a curated showcase of the impact of LGBTQIA+ identity and history at Cal State Fullerton.

Recital: Kerry Jennings (tenor) & Randall Goldberg (guitar)

School of Music faculty Kerry Jennings (tenor) and Randall Goldberg (guitar) present a recital of songs spanning from Elizabethan England to the late 20th century. The program includes works by two prominent gay composers, Benjamin Britten and David Leisner, as well as three songs by Franz Schubert, a prolific, 19th-century songwriter whose sexual orientation has been debated by scholars.

Student-Led Black Queer Appreciation Art Show!

In honor of LGBTQ+ Appreciation Month,  students of Professor Greene’s AFAM 310 class, in partnership with the AFAM Department, are hosting an event led by student performers and artists! Join us on Thursday, October 29 from 1:00-2:30PM, for an afternoon of artistic expression and appreciation of Black queer folks in an effort to shed light on, celebrate, and make space for Black queer in our campus community. Transgender Identity Research Study

A small team of researchers from the Aging Studies Department are conducting informal interviews with adults that identify as transgender and are 18 years of age or older. Interviews will be conducted over zoom or phone call, with all personal identifiable information being removed from research presentations or publications. Our study aims to address existing gaps in the literature and provide valuable insight into the lived experiences of transgender community members.
