Welcome to the Titan Family!

You are invited to join us at Parent and Supporter Orientation (PSO), designed to help families and supporters learn more about the Cal State Fullerton experience and how to support their student’s transition to the university. This program provides valuable information, campus resources, and insights into academic and student life at CSUF. Together, we’ll help you and your student make the most of the Titan journey.

Our PSO programming is completely optional and parents and supporters have two options to choose from:

In-Person Parent and Supporter Orientation

In-Person Parent and Supporter Orientation is a one-day session where parents/supporters will hear from key campus partners, have the opportunity to network with other Titan parents and supporters and have lunch in our newly renovated Titan Dining Hall.

*In-person Parent and Supporter Orientation only allows for 2 guests max per student.

*Spanish interpreting services are available for in-person PSO.

Online Parent and Supporter Orientation

Online Parent and Supporter Orientation includes an online self-paced module introducing you to CSUF, an overview of helpful campus resources for your student, and information about parent/supporter engagement and involvement.

*Spanish language option available once your account is created.

Parent and Supporter In-Person Orientation Schedule

The schedule below is subject to change before the start of orientation sessions.

  • Check in- You will be checking in with your student (or without your student if you are attending on different days) and receive a welcome bag.
  • Morning welcome- Kick off the morning with your student and fellow new Titans while enjoying some light refreshments!
  • Parent and Supporter campus tour- This is where you’ll part ways with your student and head out on a Parent/Supporter-only campus tour before being dropped off at the Parent and Supporter Orientation session.
  • Campus partner presentations- Hear from several campus departments, including Student Business Services, Parking and Transportation, and the CSUF Police Department.
  • Lunch- We’ll take a short walk to the newly renovated Titan Dining Hall for an all-you-can-eat lunch.
  • Closing presentation- We’ll wrap up the program with a few suggestions for things to do while your student is meeting with their academic college. The program will conclude at 3:00 PM.

How to Register

Registration for Parent and Supporter Orientation (PSO) is linked to your student’s orientation registration portal. In order to register for PSO, your student will need to add your information when they complete their own orientation registration through their Orientation Checklist. Each student can register up to two parents/supporters for the in-person PSO programming. You will have the option to attend PSO on the same day as your student—or choose a different day that works best for you.

If you prefer to complete online orientation, your student will be able to select this option during the registration process.

After registering for PSO, your student can make any updates to your registration through their orientation registration portal.

Cost of PSO

Parent and Supporter Orientation costs $75, whether you attend in person or virtually. For those attending in person, each guest must pay the $75 fee, and students may bring up to two guests.

Please note that the Parent and Supporter Orientation (PSO) fee is non-refundable. For more details about this policy, please visit our Requirements and Policies webpage.

Arriving to Campus

  • Please enter the campus off State College Blvd. at Arts Drive (View campus parking map)
  • Turn RIGHT into the Nutwood Parking Structure and park on levels 2 and above

If you are arriving with your student, have your student purchase $12 Daily Parking in Advance

  • Visit the Parking Portal
  • Log in with CSUF username and password
  • Under the “Permits” tab, select “Get Permits”
  • Select “Student Virtual Daily Permit” and the date of orientation  
  • Enter your vehicle information
  • Enter your payment details

If you are arriving without your student, purchase parking day of through ParkMobile

  • Purchase through the ParkMobile app
  • Enter Zone #1678 when prompted in the app
  • Enter your License plate number and payment details

For any additional assistance, please contact Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) at 657-278-3082 or submit a Parking Inquiry Form. PTS is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Check-In Location: Once parked in Nutwood Parking Structure, go to the first level and exit the structure facing campus and you will see signage pointing you to check in. You will see flags as well as hear music playing. With or without your student, you will check in at the same location.

Need to make changes to your reservation or cancel? To make edits/cancel your registration, your student can do so in their orientation registration portal.
