Student Research, Scholarly & Creative Activities

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs advances student success by supporting research, scholarly, and creative activities across the university. Through its Undergraduate Research Opportunity Center (UROC), ORSP administers a range of funding programs that expand access to hands-on inquiry and experiential learning. UROC’s mission focuses on fostering faculty–student partnerships that enhance learning, achievement, and personal growth through research. Together, ORSP provides essential resources and support for student scholars and their mentors while helping cultivate a vibrant, campus-wide culture of research and creative inquiry.

SCCUR

Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research

SCCUR

SCCUR’s cornerstone program is a one-day conference held each November on the campus of a college or university in the greater Los Angeles area. Its purpose is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the best research, scholarship, and creative work of undergraduates in the region, and thus to encourage excellence in undergraduate achievement. SCCUR is broadly multi-disciplinary, including the sciences, humanities, social sciences, arts, and performing arts that typically draws 500-800 participants, mainly undergraduates and their faculty mentors, administrators, and community college and high school. This year, we had 48 Titans attend the conference at CSU San Bernardino.
