Eric Gomez

Eric Gomez is Director of Defense Policy Studies. His research focuses on nuclear deterrence, strategic stability, and the impact of conventional military strategy on nuclear escalation, with a regional focus on East Asia. He is the co-editor of the 2019 book America’s Nuclear Crossroads: A Forward-Looking Anthology and was a member of the 2020 cohort of the Nuclear Scholars Initiative at the Project on Nuclear Issues. Eric received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York College at Geneseo and his master’s degree from the Bush School at Texas A&M University.
