Fall 2025 – Class Schedule Go Live

 

Dear Department Coordinators & Chairs,

The Fall 2025 Class Schedule is now published and visible to students as of Monday, March 10, 2025.

SCHEDULE CHANGE FORMS – COURSEDOG REQUESTS PAGE IS OPEN

The Requests page in Coursedog is now available to submit schedule change forms for Fall 2025.

Chairs and Associate Deans will receive email notifications to review and approve the requests accordingly. Requests not acted upon within 4 days will automatically route to the next step or back to the originator to re-submit or cancel the form. You may also view the status of the request by logging into Coursedog.

 

The following schedule change requests may be submitted through Coursedog:  (see guides)

    • Add a class
    • Cancel a class
      • To change the meeting pattern, you must cancel the existing class and add a new class with a new section number.
      • To change the session, you must cancel the existing class and add a new class with a new section number.
      • To change the section number, you must cancel the existing class and add a new class with a new section number.

 

  • Room change
  • Add a class note
  • Modality change on a class section
  • Grading Basis change (UOP/GOP courses to GRD/CNC only)
  • Unit Value change (variable unit courses only)
  • Add single-date meeting patterns during the semester such as midterms or required class meetings for hybrid classes where the days/times were already reserved for the entire semester. As students are not auto-notified when meeting patterns are updated, we cannot risk meeting pattern changes that result in class schedule conflicts for students already enrolled.
  • Location change
  • Topic change
  • For multicomponent courses, add each section one at a time without linking their associated class number and auto-enroll. Indicate in the “Reason for request” which class sections should associate and auto-enroll with each other.
  • To ‘force’ two classes into the same room without combining them, indicate in the “Reason for Request” the room, meeting pattern, and class section(s) that will use the same room at the same time

 

 

CHANGES YOU CAN MAKE DIRECTLY VIA PEOPLESOFT WITHOUT APPROVAL

Access to “Schedule Class Meetings” and “Update Sections of a Class” is open in PeopleSoft to make immediate changes for the following fields without having to submit an approval form.

 

Go to: Curriculum Management >> Schedule of Classes >> Schedule Class Meetings

    • Instructor changes  (Fall/Spring state-support classes only)

 

Go to: Curriculum Management >> Schedule of Classes >> Update Sections of a Class

    • Change Enrollment Caps   (Do not set higher than the Room Cap)
    • Change Waitlist Caps (Do not set waitlist caps for courses with corequisites)
    • Class Status Changes (i.e. Tentative to Active, Active to Tentative, or Active to Stop Further Enrollment)
    • Schedule Print/No Print
    • Department Consent

The following change requests may be emailed to Scheduling for processing:

    • Add an experimental class. (Only one section may be offered. Up to four times in five years).
    • Combine classes, changes to combined caps
    • Reserve caps
    • Section-specific requisites
    • Final Exams

 

Non-required class meetings supplemental to classroom instruction such as review sessions and other optional class meetings may be submitted as event requests in 25Live.  Required class meetings during the semester such as midterms may be added as meeting patterns to the class schedule. Event reservation requests in 25Live are not accepted until closer to semester start, and academic class meetings will take priority over events in 25Live.
