Scholarships

 

Cal State Fullerton is pleased to offer a wide variety of scholarships and awards to honor outstanding achievement. Over $21 million in scholarships and awards is paid annually at Cal State Fullerton. Students apply for scholarships and are nominated for awards.

In addition to scholastic achievement, financial need and other factors may be considered in the selection process. Read and follow the “application procedure” for each scholarship or award in which you are interested. Due to the large number of applications received, non-selected applicants are not notified.

 Important note: The disbursement of a scholarship is dependent on the criteria set by the donor. The recipient of a scholarship should be aware of the requirements of the awarded scholarship for disbursement.

Please allow up to 12 weeks starting from the date the department submits your scholarship check request to process your scholarship funds to your account.

What kind of scholarships are offered?

At Cal State Fullerton, students have the opportunity to apply for various scholarships to help cover the cost of education. These scholarships are funded by the university, as well as federal, state, and private sources, and unlike loans, they do not need to be repaid. Scholarship opportunities are available for new and continuing students.

Campus Scholarships

Campus scholarships can be found through the student portal and are applicable through the scholarship applications offered. Our office offers two different scholarship applications per year where there are many awards and scholarships available. When applying, make sure to follow the application procedure, check the criteria, and deadline dates carefully. Deadlines for scholarship applications can be found under Important Dates. In most cases, the scholarship notification process does not include a notification to all applicants but only to the selected recipient of the scholarship.

Outside Scholarships

Various outside scholarships are offered and can be found year round. However, outside scholarships are not affiliated with the University so the application procedure and deadlines may vary based on the scholarship.
