Scholarships

CSUF is proud to offer several scholarships to help students cover the cost of their education. We encourage all students to apply for additional funding based on merit. Opportunities are available for new and continuing students.

Important Reminder: Scholarship recipients must be currently enrolled at CSUF in the semester they are receiving their funds. 

Apply for Scholarships

To determine eligibility and be considered for Scholarships students of all class levels should complete an active Scholarship Application(s). An electronic application must be completed by the deadline specified for each scholarship.

CSUF Scholarship Application for current and incoming students opens in early January every year. Any eligible scholarship funds student is awarded will be applied to the following academic year.

Follow the steps:

  1. Login to your StudentPortal

  2. Type “Scholarships” in the search bar

  3. Click “Open Scholarship Application” button

Scholarships Process

Involves multiple parties:

  • Student applies for scholarship(s)

  • Donor funds scholarship(s)

  • Student Business Services deposits checks and sends recipients to Financial Aid

  • Financial Aid posts award(s) within 8 to 12 weeks

  • Student receives the funds

Allow up to 12 weeks from the date Student Business Services receives the scholarship check to process the scholarship funds.
