Marketing Assets

Utilize these graphics to make your own designs for communication. Make sure to save the target of these thumbnail images. If you save the thumbnail images rather than the full-size image, you'll get the thumbnail.

Here's how you save images for a pc or mac on Chrome or Safari:

For an the images displayed, right click on the image and select "open image in a new tab." A full-size image will pop up in the browser. Right click on this image in the browser and click on "save image as." Save the image onto your computer wherever you would like.

General Suggestions for All Emails:

    • Subject Lines: Make them compelling, with action-oriented language like “Double Your Impact,” “Join the Mission,” or “Don’t Miss Out!”
    • Urgency: Emphasize the 24-hour timeframe to create a sense of urgency and excitement.
    • Personal Touch: Whenever possible, add a sentence or two about why this cause is meaningful to you.
    • Easy to Donate Option: Always include a prominent link or call-to-action button for donations.
    • Visuals: If sending through email platforms, consider using visuals or banners to grab attention and reinforce the campaign theme. Be sure to always add alternative text to visual for accessibility!

Social Media

Social media can be a great fundraising tool, especially if you are short on contact information. It’s even better if you have a Facebook or messaging group to share your information with.

Utilize each platform to your benefit:

    • Instagram Posts: Engaging photos or videos about your cause. Include a short memory or description that goes along with it. Direct followers to give via a link in your bio or story.
    • Instagram Story: Capturing attention quickly. Connect to your audience with photos, videos, quotes and key messages. Insert link as sticker.
    • Facebook/LinkedIn: Sharing longer messages, especially in conjunction with photos, and reaching out to friends and colleagues in groups. These platforms have the highest conversion rate for donations from social media.
    • X (Twitter): Quick shout-outs, simple key messages and easy linking to your referral giving link.

Personalized Content Ideas:

    • Detail what specifically will be done with their donation!
    • Do you need to raise a certain amount? Stating a goal can generate a push for support.
    • Tell everyone what you love about CSUF! Share favorite memories or note the lifelong friends you made. Show why CSUF is worthy of support!

Best Practices

    • Use a “warm-up” sentence prior to providing the giving link
    • Simple and straightforward messages are key
    • Keep it short – aim for two sentences
