Max Gallery Heights

Galleries are nice but sometimes you don't want them to overtake the page content they are surrounding.  Max height styles were created based on our other height styles and will keep the gallery from expanding beyond a specific size.  When the gallery can not fit in that space vertical scrollbars will automatically appear.

Remember that heights are dependant on user device and not the device you're currently editing on.

Examples

Below you'll find a few two column rows where the gallery on the left side (or below in mobile) has been sized to a specific height.  Depending on the device you are viewing this on you may or may not see scrollbars.  Gallery functions remain the same but adding max-gallery styles could mean that some images are not directly visible to users if you are referencing them in your content.

max-gallery-half

The gallery associated with this row, or directly below if on mobile, is using a max height of half the screen.

Depending on devices that may be enough to display the full gallery preview without scrolling, or if there are a large number of images vertical scrolling may appear.

max-gallery-third

The gallery associated with this row, or directly below if on mobile, is using a max height of a third.  This means the overall gallery will take up no more room than a third of the screen.

Depending on devices that may be enough to display the full gallery preview without scrolling, or if there are a large number of images vertical scrolling may appear.

max-gallery-eighth

As this is the smallest screen size we have a style for, the gallery style was changed to gallery-blocks to help show what a small, compact style looks like.

Remember that users can always increase the image size using the toolbar slider (where available) so even if you don't see a scroll bar, larger images can cause one to appear.
