Stock Photos

The Campus has a great supply of stock photography that they have collected and continue to build.  We have download a great many and compressed them for web use already.  These photos are all less than 900kb and will load in fast.

The Gallery

In edit mode the page manager tool bar has an icon for backgrounds.  That opens up the CSS options for all your background boxes and includes a button that will launch the stock photo gallery.

This site also has a standalone page to see the same images if you need to work in a group or with someone who doesn't have access to page editing.

Stock Photo Box Backgrounds

Each page has up to 5 boxes that can be used to layout your content.  In the page manager you can assign the image by coping the style class under each picture and just pasting it into the box CSS class.

The photo will automatically be set as the background under the content sections and you no longer need to write any additional CSS to manage it.

Starting in version 5 templates we upgraded the stock photo gallery to no longer use specific picture names.  This means that if a picture is changed or replaced you do not need to worry about a broken image.  The new image will simply be assigned the same style name and your page will continue to load. 

You can always update the CSS style for any background at any time you choose.

Stock Photo Sections

Sections can be just as effective as boxes if the layout is used effectively.  In this example we have the same layout in this box as the one above, except the background is set to a theme color.

That allows us to still use the same image as the box above, but this time its limited to the content section.

You can use a stock photo even for a single content section. 

It will act just like the box CSS and the image will be set as the background for just that section.

There are dozens of images available and ready to go right away.  The gallery is filterable and even includes graphic backgrounds.
