Section I - What is Academic Probation?

What is Academic Probation?
Your grade point average (GPA) is an important indicator of your academic success and determines whether you maintain good academic standing at CSUF. Unfortunately, many students do not maintain a satisfactory grade point average (“C” average) and end up on academic probation or are disqualified every semester.
Academic probation
Undergraduate students are placed on academic probation when their total grade point average (average in all college work attempted) or the grade point average at Cal State Fullerton falls below 2.0 (a "C" average).
Where can I find my GPAs?
You can locate your total GPA and CSUF GPA on your unofficial transcript. Please refer to Timothy Titan’s transcript to locate your GPAs on your own transcript. Look at the very end of your transcript.

As you can see, Timothy Titan has 3 GPAs. He has a term GPA, which refers to the GPA calculated strictly off of his fall 07’ semester, a CSUF GPA, and a total GPA. Timothy Titan’s CSUF and total GPA are currently below a 2.0 which places him on academic probation and at risk of being disqualified from CSUF. (What is Academic Disqualification?)
