How are grade points assigned?

We have seen from the previous example that Timothy Titan has 15 grade points. How does the university assign grade points? The university uses the table below to assign grade points. Keep in mind that grade points are NOT calculated for CR/NC grades.

For example, if a student took Math 115, which is 4 unit course, and he/she received a grade of D, we would locate 4 units on the table and align that column with the “D” row. If you look at the example below you can see that for a grade of “D” in a 4 unit course the student would receive 4 grade points.
