Reinstatement
Option
In a very small number of cases, students disqualified at the end of the spring semester may qualify for reinstatement. There is no reinstatement option available for students disqualified at the end of the fall semester. If your disqualification adviser determines that you have a realistic chance of raising your GPA to 2.0 in summer, you may submit a petition for academic reinstatement. In order to qualify for reinstatement you must meet the following criteria:
Schedule your disqualification appointment by the deadline listed in the disqualification letter.
Raise your CSUF and total grade point averages to 2.0 .
Students who register for summer sessions that end after the third week of July do not qualify for reinstatement.
Reinstatement
Process
Reinstatement petitions can be obtained only during your disqualification appointment.
Once your final summer grades are posted in Titan Online, it will take approximately three working days to complete your reinstatement.
Questions regarding the reinstatement process should be directed to the Academic Advisement Center, please e-mail Deanna Merino Contino at dmerino@fullerton.edu.
If your reinstatement is granted, you will receive an email notification from the AAC Assistant Director and a letter from Admissions and Records. You will be able to register for fall semester courses approximately two days after your reinstatement is completed.
If your reinstatement petition is denied, you must follow the recommendations listed on your disqualification worksheet, which will be provided to you during your disqualification appointment.
