What is GE/IGETC Certification?

Becoming CSU GE or IGETC certified will greatly help you in your transition to CSUF. Being certified means that you have completed some or all of your General Education Requirements. The different types of certification are listed below. Talk to your advisor at your pre-transfer institution about being certified and how it can benefit you.

There are 3 types of Certification:
  • CSU GE Certification
  • Area Certification
  • IGETC Certification
