GE/IGETC Certificatio

What is IGETC Certification?

Intersegmental General Education Transfer Certification:

  • Full IGETC Certification waives students from taking any additional lower division GE courses.
  • If the student has not yet completed their American History and Government requirements, they must complete those courses at CSUF.
  • For upper division GE classes, IGETC certified students must complete 9 units.
How Does This Benefit Future Titan Scholars?
  1. History 110A & History 110B are Waived Based on Certification.
  2. Students are only required to complete the 9 units of Upper Division GE (Per Title 5 of the CA Code of Regulations: "All lower division requirements can be fulfilled by completing the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum")
  3. The Upper Division GE can be taken from ANY General Education Category - allowing the students hundreds of options
