Academic Programs The Office of Academic Programs has responsibility for the planning, direction, and implementation of academic curriculum, programs, and policies for undergraduate and graduate education, general education, online education, university advisement, assessment of learning outcomes, institutional and program accreditation, program performance reviews, and various other university and system-wide programmatic initiatives.

Academic Programs Curriculum Curriculum is about collaborating with the faculty to offer students the best of current practice, theory and research, and integrate professional studies with preparation in the arts and sciences.  With the Directors of Undergraduate Studies & General Education and Graduate Studies, the Office of Academic Programs ensures Cal State Fullerton provides high-quality degree programs that meet the evolving needs of our students, community and region, as well as meets state and national requirements for higher education.

Working in collaboration with the Director of Assessment and Educational Effectiveness and other stakeholders, the Office of Academic Programs ensures the Quality of all Academic Programs at Cal State Fullerton.

The Office of Academic Programs oversees Undergraduate Studies & General Education, Health Professions, and Graduate Studies to ensure Student Success. The Freshman Programs as well as GE Pathways and other High Impact programs contribute to Student Success.

linkThe Associate Vice President for Academic Programs (AVPAP) provides leadership and oversight for the Office of Academic Programs, and works in consultation and collaboration with the Directors of Academic Programs (Assessment and Educational Effectiveness, Academic Advisement Center, Freshman Programs, Graduate Studies, Health Professions Advising Office (HPAO), Honors Program, Undergraduate Studies) to ensure the quality of academic programs. The AVPAP is a member of the Council of Deans and works closely with College Deans, members of the Provost’s Cabinet, the Academic Senate, the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, appropriate faculty committees, and other campus constituencies in advancing the mission and meeting the strategic goals of the University.
