WHY CHOOSE CSUF Dance
With small class sizes, our accomplished faculty work individually with dancers, providing them with detailed feedback and mentorship as they work toward their goals. Dance students also connect with guest artists to learn about the industry, develop their network and collaborate with leading dance professionals.
Our dance program would not be complete without its performances. Dance majors have multiple opportunities to advance their artistry and bolster their resumes with professional experience. The program offers seven annual performance opportunities including two fully produced concerts, three studio showcases, an off-campus concert at Grand Central Theater and multiple outreach showcases by our Dance Repertory class.
- CSUF has been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance since 1982.
- Students in our program have repeatedly been chosen to perform at the American College Dance Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
- Students practice and perform in multiple venues on campus, including two dance studios, the William J. McGarvey Family Dance Studio, the Little Theatre and the Hallberg Theatre.
