Preparing for a Technical Career Fair
Tuesday, February 21

Performing Arts Room 125 1:00-2:15 p.m.

Corporate recruiters will provide information about how to approach a career fair, how students really get hired, what they look for in a resume, simple interview secrets, and other strategies for making your best impression with potential employers. Alumni Mentor Luncheon
Monday, February 27

Titan Student Union 11:30-1:30 p.m.

Co-sponsored by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and Associated Students, Inc., a two-hour luncheon will be held for current students and alumni. Students and alumni will be seated by major, with separate tables for Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Students will have the opportunity for networking, obtaining advice about their majors and direction in their careers. Alumni will have the opportunity to mentor students and build their connections to the university. Professionals from LA World Airport, Boeing, Parasoft, Raytheon , LA Department of Water and Power, and Verizon were among last year's alumni. Space is limited! ECS Student Leadership Day
Tuesday, February 28

ECS Quad 11:00-2:00 p.m.

This event is for all Engineering and Computer Science students, and includes a cookout, tables for each of our student chapters, prize drawings, and opportunity to test your skills on a rock wall hosted by U.S. Army/ROTC. Come eat lunch with students, faculty, and staff, and learn about student organizations related to your major.

 

MESA Day
Wednesday, March 1

ECS Quad, Lawn, Classrooms 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Approximately 250 students from 6 area high schools will be on campus for engineering, science, math and computer competitions in conjunction with the MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) Program's annual Engineering and Computer Science Day. The CSU Fullerton MESA Program serves over 1,400 Orange County students in grades 6 - 12. U.S. Army HUMMV will be on display, sponsored by CSUF Army ROTC. Engineering and Computer Science students are needed to volunteer as judges, greeters, check-in, and to encourage younger students to consider careers in engineering and computer science. To volunteer, please stop by CS 311 or email vonna@ecs.fullerton.edu . Lunch is provided for volunteers.

 

Career Fair
Thursday, March 2

ECS Quad 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Approximately 30 employers who are seeking full-time, intern, and summer employment candidates in engineering and computer science will be hosted during the Engineering and Computer Science Career Fair. Students will have an opportunity to meet employers, submit their resumes, and learn more about the companies who attend. Some of the employers who attended last year were Boeing, Cal OSHA, the Capital Group, Fluor Corporation, General Dynamics, LA County, Northrop Grumman, and Southern California Edison. Current students should bring their resumes and dress for success!

Guest Speaker from NASA
Thursday, March 2

Engineering Room 101 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Jennifer Marie Rocca, NASA Jet Propulsion Lab Mission Team, will discuss the Deep Impact project and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) professional organization. Informal dinner sponsored by AIAA will be provided. Speaker hosted by Dr. Hossein Moini, EGME 456. All are welcome to attend!
