WHAT IS CALFRESH?

CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program that provides support to low-income households and individuals by helping them purchase fresh and healthy groceries. CalFresh is federally known as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) through the USDA. CalFresh benefits are provided on an EBT card, which is like a debit card, and can be used at most grocery stores and farmer’s markets.
