ECS Student Projects Showcase and Awards

ECS Showcase and Awards

Each year, the ECS Student Projects Competition and Showcase assembles outstanding capstone, senior design, and collegiate competition projects from across each of ECS’s departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. This brings the College of ECS together for an event that truly demonstrates the breadth of student talent at CSUF. In addition to hosting between 60 to 90+ student projects each year, this event also displays 20+ projects sponsored by the College of ECS’ Corporate Partners Program (CPP). CPP projects typically include Boeing, Bristol Industries, Cordoba, Disney, Edwards Lifesciences, the Gene Haas Foundation, PacMin, Pro-Dex, and projects funded with support from Silicon Valley Community Foundation in collaboration with Cisco Corporate Social Responsibility.

Projects focus on contemporary topics such as machine learning, automation, Internet-of-Things (IoT), manufacturing, biomedical devices, and concrete performance, which demonstrates the broad scope of work ECS students complete each year as they work towards their degrees. These projects would not be possible without the support of CPP. The College of ECS sends a special thank you to our industry friends who provide our students with hands-on, applied learning experiences that prepare them for life after graduation.
