WHY CHOOSE CSUF Visual Arts

Students have opportunities to advance their artistry outside of the classroom by curating and visiting campus exhibitions, networking with visiting artists, landing internships, and creating original pieces for their portfolio. The Visual Arts Modernization project, which is set for completion in fall 2024, will also grant students access to new project spaces, high-tech classrooms and advanced technology.

  • CSUF has been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design since 1974.
  • Artwork is displayed across campus, including in the Nicholas & Lee Begovich Gallery and its student galleries.
  • Students connect with industry professionals, including artists, educators and filmmakers, through the Begovich Visual Arts lecture series.
  • Students have access to internship and employment opportunities at some of the top film studios, museums and art galleries in Southern California.
