    Navigating Admissions Data Dashboards for Meaningful Insights

    Locating admission data and understanding admissions trends don't have to feel like a search for hidden treasure. Whether you’re curious about our application trends, admission yield, enrollment patterns, or performance of students from a specific feeder school, we have tools that help reveal these insights. In collaboration with IT and in partnership with the Office of Admissions, our university's various admissions dashboards provide access to everything from historical yield rates to real‑time updates of our newly admitted students. Join us for a guided walk‑through of where these data are housed, how to interpret them, and how they can facilitate decision‑making in support of enrollment planning.

    Alumni Workforce Outcomes Dashboard Review:

    Ever wonder who employs our alumni? What job titles do they hold? What skills do they have? Alumni workforce outcomes data can help us understand what our students do with their CSUF degrees. In collaboration with Lightcast, OIEP has developed an interactive dashboard with our alumni’s workforce data to help address these important questions that can further support student and institutional success. Please join us to learn more about the Alumni Workforce Outcomes Dashboard and discuss how we can use this data to inform our work.

In anticipation of the semester assessment program reporting deadline, these sessions focus on providing guidance on reporting student learning outcome assessment in the university assessment management system (AMS). Sessions are structured like a open lab and attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops and ask any specific questions they have related to thier report. During the session, the OIEP team is able to help attendees successfully submit thier reports for the semester.

In 2023, Cal State Fullerton conducted a thorough consultation to develop Fullerton Forward, the university’s Strategic Plan. Since the plan’s launch in February 2024, every division and college  have been actively working toward advancing the strategic plan goals. This session will highlight the progress made during the first year of implementation (2024-25) and provide updates on how the campus community is moving Fullerton Forward.

Chancellor's Office Student Success Dashboards

This workshop will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Chancellor’s Office CSU Student Success Dashboard from its developers. The main focus will be how you can use this tool to gain insight into student success challenges at Fullerton and identify next steps and actions. After a short walk-through of the Dashboard by its developers, participants will undertake guided, interactive activities and facilitated discussions to increase both proficiency with the dashboard itself and skill at inferring meaning from it.

OBIEE Dashboards

Ever wonder how much information does the CSUF portal provide?  Come to this session to learn about the OBIEE dashboards - a powerful source of information embedded in the portal - that allow access to valuable student and faculty data.  You will even learn what OBIEE stands for! Specifically, we will dive deep into the Student Success and Registration Snapshot Dashboards.  The Student Success Dashboards track CSUF freshman and undergraduate transfer cohorts and their progress towards graduation.  The Registration Snapshot Dashboards track college enrollment by headcount and FTES, by the college of the student major and by the college that offers the course, in addition to class enrollment tallies.

The Faculty Student Success Dashboard (FSSD) is a comprehensive data visualization toolset for faculty to conveniently access their courses and observe how their work is reflected in overall and individual student success indicators. It is developed by IT, in collaboration with campus partners. In this session, IT will provide you with a demo of the dashboard, the status of the project, and its development.
