Getting to the DSC

Directions

• From Interstate 15, exit Zzyzx Road. Go south on Zzyzx Rd: turn right if traveling from the south, turn left if traveling from the north. 
• You are entering Mojave National Preserve - drive slowly and watch for wildlife on the road. Off-road driving is prohibited. Observe all Preserve regulations. No commercial filming or drone flying on Zzyzx Road without Preserve permits.
• About 3 miles down Zzyzx Road, the road becomes dirt for about a quarter mile. Drive slowly, and watch for mud, water, and wildlife in the road.
• After the road becomes pavement again, proceed approximately one more mile. If you have reservations, proceed through the gate as directed in your reservation confirmation. If you are a public visitor, turn right into the visitor lot. Public visitors may explore the nature trail around Lake Tuendae during daylight hours only; the rest of the grounds are closed, for DSC use only. More information for public visitors.
