Publications

Researchers at the Desert Studies Center have contributed significantly to our knowledge of the natural and cultural history of the Mojave Desert. The lists attached below contain citations of many of the peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, graduate theses and dissertations, and undergraduate theses and reports that have been published from research at the DSC and the Soda Springs region, which, in many cases, were supported by DSC resources and staff. Print copies of older publications may be available in the DSC library. These lists will be updated regularly. 

For many years, the DSC has hosted the Desert Symposium, a gathering of scientists and members of the public interested in sharing results of their research about deserts. The symposium's proceedings since 1988 are available as pdfs at their website.
