The University Honors Program attracts many of the brightest and most dedicated students at Cal State Fullerton and helps support students on their journey to be leaders and changemakers in their communities. Our interdisciplinary curriculum, coupled with innovative learning experiences and faculty-student research gives students the opportunity to prepare for their future, personally and professionally. Supporting our program is a direct investment in our students and provides resources to help our program provide opportunities for students. STUDENT-FACULTY RESEARCH EXPERIENCES

Honors students participate in undergraduate research opportunities that enhance their academic experience and help prepare them from their future careers. Presenting at a professional conference can be out of reach financially for many students. Your support will help provide students with the funding they need to travel to regional and national conferences where they can present their research and network with other students and faculty in their field.

STUDY ABROAD EXPERIENCES

Support for study abroad provides students with a transformative experience, opening them up to new cultures and ways of thinking. Honors students can earn six units of honors seminar credit through one of our summer study abroad programs. While we do receive support from campus to help offset the costs of these programs, international education can be expensive. Your support will help expand our scholarship opportunities and increase the number of students who can participate in these experiences.

INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCES

Through student internships, Honors students benefit from real-world experiences, professional mentoring, and other career development opportunities. Internships can be life-changing and help students translate their classroom successes into lifelong opportunities in the workplace. We hope to build internship opportunities where students can put their interdisciplinary education and critical thinking skills to use with local organizations, agencies, and communities. Many of these opportunities do not provide financial support for students, which is a significant challenge in our current economy. Your support will help provide scholarships for students to help offset the costs associated with internships.
