Does my password expire?

Employees

Passwords expire annually during the month of October.  Passwords must be reset by October 31st. All CSUF faculty, staff, teaching associates, graduate assistants, student assistants, consultants, and emeriti are required to change their password during the month of October.

Students/Alumni

Passwords expire annually based on when it was last changed.  All Students/Alumni are required to change their password withing 30-day of receiving the email notificaiton for their ppassword expiration.

Other Account Types

  • Administrative/Department/AF accounts passwords are required to be changed annually
  • All Tier 1 & 2 and service accounts passwords are required to be changed every six months
    Email notifications will be sent out 30 days prior to password expiration to the owner and Department IT Coordinator for these accounts.

Who is required to change their password during the month of October?

All CSUF faculty, staff, teaching associates, graduate assistants, student assistants, consultants, and emeriti are required to change their password during the month of October.

I just changed my password, do I still need to reset it?

If you changed your password before October 1st, you will need to change it again.

I didn't change my password by the deadline
