Advising

Our mission is to work in a collaborative partnership with students, a shared responsibility, where the advisor and student are equally invested in the educational process and holistic development of the student.

Academic Advisement is available on a walk-in basis, so come in anytime to meet with an academic advisor. To maximize your valuable time, plan ahead and visit the Academic Advisement Center during non-registration periods.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to remove the cost barriers that may prevent you from pursuing your educational goals. Assistance is available from a variety of programs funded by federal, state, university and private sources. Students who demonstrate significant financial need may qualify for grant aid while students with less need may obtain low cost loans. Financial need is determined through a federal formula that assesses the family’s relative financial strength and ability to contribute to meeting the student’s educational costs.

The CSUF Pride Alliance envisions a stronger CSUF community that is equitable, respectful, and where LGBTQ+ people, inclusive of all our intersecting identities, feel fully valued and integrated.

The CSUF Pride Alliance is dedicated to providing voice and representation for the coalition of LGBTQ+ and other related faculty and staff at California State University, Fullerton. They join together to acknowledge and celebrate our often diverse, but common LGBTQ+ affinity.

Gender & Sexuality Studies And Queer Studies Department

Gender & Sexuality Studies and Queer Studies examines the dynamics of heteronormativity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender roles, and embodiment, and the influence of these intersecting factors on our daily lives, cultural institutions, political discourses, media representations and within the arts.

A Queer Studies Minor designation on a student's transcript distinguishes them affirmatively in application to graduate school across many fields. Additionally, it makes students more competitive for employment and internships in fields including social work, counseling, education, healthcare, social service, government, the law and nonprofit advocacy. A Queer Studies Minor positions CSUF graduates on the leading edge of cultural, social, political and scientific knowledges, and it recognizes their specific expertise in one of the most culturally and politically relevant topics of our time.
