MEN'S SUCCESS SERIES 

MSS: What Does it Mean to Be a Man

As the first event in the Men's Success Series, this event will allow students to engage them in a conversation about the obstacles they face on their path to success. Through a series of reflective activities, participants will explore and critically evaluate society's views on cisgender manhood and heteronormativity as they redefine it in accordance to their own personal experiences. The ultimate goal is for participants to walk out with an understanding of their own masculinities as a key component of their overall identities. This learning experience will in turn emphasize and raise awareness on the importance of physical and mental health in order to succeed at every level.

MSS: Behind the Mask-culine Rules of Engagement

The second event in the Men's Success Series, will challenge students to reflect on methods to strengthen existing healthy relationships and address opportunities to combat unhealthy relationships that could impact his path to success. The goal is for participants to realize that all men are gendered beings, and our interactions with the world can reinforce or dismantle masculine rules of engagement with: women, children, authority figures, education professionals, sports world, social life, the LGBTQ community, as well as bonds with other men.

MSS: Suited for Success: A Fitting & Grooming Social

The third event in the Men's Success Series, is meant to uplift and encourage male students to recognize that first impressions matter, and we want to help you LOOK the part as you continue on your path to success. The goal is for participants to walk away knowing their tailored suite size, correct dress shirt size, and styling tips that could make or break a first impression in professional and educational spaces. Additionally, a grooming and barber expert will demonstrate practical ways gentlemen can still afford to stay groomed and sharp even on a budget.
