Social Justice Week
March 17-21, 2025
Social Justice Week (SJW) is an educational week-long event where students, faculty, and staff showcase their work on restorative and social justice through workshops, training, candid conversations, and more. The Office of Engagement and Belonging (OEB) is excited to partner with Associated Students Inc. (ASI) to bring this important program to the campus. All Social Justice Week programming and events are open to all faculty, staff, and students at Cal State Fullerton.

Students and others must be aware of these practices so they can practice them or understand that criminal justice professionals are trying to make this change. Dr. Charles Cunha has created an interactive module using H5P and have a website on ArcGIS on Social Justice issues that their students helped create.

Join us for an evening of storytelling, culture, and conversation with Chickasaw storyteller and drag artist Landa Lakes and award-winning chef Pyet DeSpain of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. Landa will share their tribe’s creation story, personal journey, and the intersections of Two-Spirit identity, activism, and artistic expression. Pyet will discuss her work in Indigenous Fusion Cuisine and food sovereignty, highlighting the importance of preserving traditional foodways. Together, they will explore the power of storytelling in celebrating and sustaining Indigenous and queer experiences.
