Student Organization Conduct Status

Cal State Fullerton expects all University recognized student organizations to act as responsible members of the University community and uphold the Student Code of Conduct. If organizations are reported for alleged violations of that code, the University will follow its published policies to investigate and hold these organizations accountable. Below are organizations that violated the Student Code of Conduct. In this table can be found the organization's name, the policies they violated, and the subsequent status with the University as a result of said violations.

For a complete overview of Title 5 and associated policies, please see the Conduct Policies and Procedures

STUDENT ORGANIZATION STATUS KEY

For full details, please see the Student Organization Status Key.

Statuses are determined at the discretion of the Office of Student Conduct after  an organization has been found responsible for violating policy. A student organization's disciplinary history is stored in the Office of Student Conduct official records.

Good Standing

An organization holds a status of "Good Standing" if the organization does not have any outstanding required resolutions and/or alternative statuses that were assigned to the organization from the Office of Student Conduct due to being found responsible for a policy violation. At this status, student organizations are able to fully operate as a student organization and have complete access to the privileges granted student organizations by the University.

Warning

The Office of Student Conduct internally has placed the organization on a status of "Warning” to note the inappropriate behavior and violated policies that have occurred within the organization. At this status, if further behavior violating policies continues, the organization’s status would be reassessed and most likely would result in no longer being on good standing.

Disciplinary Probation

The organization is not in good standing with the University and has lost University granted privileges as an organization. Lost privileges are determined at the discretion of the Office of Student Conduct and are based on the policies that the organization has been found responsible for violating and the specifics of the organization’s investigation.

Suspension

The organization is not in good standing with the University and has been required to cease and desist all organization related activities for a specific amount of time.  During a “Suspension” status, the organization and its members may not operate as an organization or on behalf of the organization in any capacity, and may not present their organization as if it is affiliated with the University during this time period.

Separation & Revocation of University Recognition

At this status, the organization has been separated from and derecognized by the University. The organization has lost all of its rights and privileges related to being a University-affiliated organization and is not able to be reconsidered to initiate its recognition without participating in a return to campus process, depending on whether the separation time period is indefinite or defined.
