FERPA Release Form

To permit CSUF academic advising professionals to participate in academic advising activities with you, and inspect and review your academic records, fill out the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Release Form.

Academic Notice 

You may have received word that you have been placed on Academic Notice or Continued Notice, which occurs when your CSUF  and/or Cumulative GPA(s) fall or remain below a 2.0 (“C” average).

Academic Disqualification 

Undergraduate students are academically disqualified if their CSUF and/or total grade point averages fall below the following GPA thresholds and based on class level (total units earned).

Grade Forgiveness

The Repetition of Courses Policy can help to improve your GPA more quickly than taking brand new courses. Students may repeat a total of 28 units maximum (16 units of Grade Forgiveness and 12 units of Grade Averaging).

Our GPA calulator can assist you in figuring out your semester and cumulative GPAs. The GPA calculation is just an estimate. It does NOT represent your official grades. Please talk to your advisor if you are unsure about how to use it or have any questions. If your GPA calculation is at a critical point (ie. you're on Academic Notice), talk to your advisor.

Applying for Graduation

Each prospective graduate must file for graduation. A student is eligible to apply for graduation after accumulating 85 units. You may apply for graduation (grad check) online via your Titan Online Student Center. You should apply for graduation two semesters in advance of your anticipated graduation date.

Declare a Major

Are you ready to declare? If so GREAT! To change your major, please fill out a Major/Minor Change Form. You can also add a minor this way as well. Once the department receives your form then it will be processed and your TDA will be updated. (This could take up to 14 business days) Be sure to follow up with your new academic department for advising.
