Call Controller Trees

A call controller tree is an automated feature that assists callers in quickly reaching specific information or people in a department. It gives the caller several options, such as "press one to speak to an advisor, press two to hear our office hours, or press three for more information about grades." Departments specify the structure of the tree and are able to revise it as needed. Recording information on the call controller tree is the responsibility of the department and Telecommunications will provide training to the department staff. Call controller trees are designed for areas with heavy call volume or for specific departmental needs. Approval by the appropriate dean is usually required.

If you would like more information regarding a call controller tree for your department, contact Christina Yanez at extension 4488.
