The Academic Technology Office (ATO) provides strategic leadership and direction for all campus academic technology applications, initiatives, and support services. The ATO provides leadership in partnership with Academic Affairs for operational and strategic planning and policy related to academic computing such as e-learning, instructional technology, and research and assessment. These efforts ensure that academic technology issues and requirements are incorporated into the university's overall technology plan.
Kristin K. Stang is the Interim Director of Academic Technology, Director of the Academic Technology Center (ATC) and doubles as the Coordinator of the Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) while serving as a Professor in Special Education at Cal State Fullerton. She earned her PhD from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois and she specializes in Learning Disabilities and Teacher Preparation.
Marc Montaser is an IT Consultant at the ATC. In 2004 he started working as a student assistant with IT and became a staff member in 2007 after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on information systems & decision sciences.
Claudia Acosta is the Instructional Design Technologist specialized in video production at the ATC. Claudia has a bachelor degree in Communications with emphasis in Radio, TV and Film, and a MS in Instructional Design Technology from Cal State Fullerton, she also has an AS in Speech Language Pathology. She has been with the university since 2000. Claudia’s other interests are editing motion picture projects, helping kids with speech limitations and spending time with her family.
Jose Chavez is a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physics from Cal State Stanislaus. He has previous experience as a volunteer firefighter. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in thermal and fluids engineering.
Amol Deshpande works as a Graduate Assistant at the Academic Technology Center. He is currently pursuing his Master's in Computer Science with Distributed Computing and Software Engineering as major interests. He has completed his Bachelor degree in Information Technology from Nagpur University, India. He has worked for KPIT Infosystems, India as a software Engineer for 3 years in Java domain.

Wahab Syed was a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from Cal State Fullerton. He earned his Bachelor's in Computer Science from University of Karachi, Pakistan. He had worked in the banking & payment industry as a software engineer and technical consultant with Avanza Solutions and NCR Corporation. His key interest areas include distributed computing, business intelligence, enterprise-scale application development and process optimization. Wahab is currently working as a Software Engineer at Neudesic in Irvine, CA.
Saurabh Deshpande was a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cal State Fullerton. He received his Bachelor's of Engineering in Instrumentation and Control from University of Pune, India. After receiving his bachelor degree, he worked for Alfa Laval (India) Limited as an engineer in the projects department.
Ronak Patel was a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from Cal State Fullerton. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India and worked as a web application developer in Actonate Pvt. Ltd. His interest was in the area of web application, database management and software processes. Ronak is currently working at Toshiba America in Irvine, CA.
Oluseyi Owolabi was a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cal State Fullerton. He received his Bachelor’s in Physics/Electronics from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria and worked as a regional IT support engineer at Access Bank Plc. His interest was in the areas of customer service, IT infrastructure management, and networking. Oluseyi is currently working as an LTE Test Engineer with Teleworx LLC Reston, VA.
Pratik Patel was a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He earned his Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cal State Fullerton. He received a Bachelor's of Engineering in Electronics & Communication Engineering, from DDU, India. He worked as a telecom, network and hardware Engineer. Pratik is currently working as an Application Engineer, Mobile Communication Group, Intel Corporation, and presently living in Folsom, CA
Sanket Shah was a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He received his Master's in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Digital Signal Processing and Communication from Cal State Fullerton. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication from Gujarat University, India. He had experience in telecommunications and has worked with Nokia Siemens Networks-India and as a network engineer for Vodafone-India. Sanket is currently working as an Engineer at Qualcomm Inc. in San Diego, CA.
Durga Kapa was a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He received his Master's degree in Computer Science from Cal State Fullerton. He earned a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from MREC India, and worked as a software developer at JDA Software Pvt. Ltd. His interest was in the areas of Hadoop, Map Reduce Framework, and Web Applications. Durga is currently working as Senior Software Engineer with ALSTOM Corporation in the Bay Area, CA
Azeem Hirani was a Graduate Assistant at the ATC. He earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from Cal State Fullerton. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology from Manoharbhai Patel Institute of Engineering and Technology in India and worked as a Software Developer in Capgemini Technologies Ltd. He was interested in database management. Azeem is currently working as a Center Associate 4 with Deloitte LLP in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
