Careers

The Biology Department and CSUF Career Center are dedicated to students’ career development. CSUF Biology alumni pursue diverse and rewarding careers with many terrific opportunities here in southern California. In order to prepare for future careers, students need to assess their skills, interests, and values, as well as research their options and gain experience in the field so they can be well positioned and competitive for jobs or graduate programs. Use the resources on this site to learn about opportunities, explore alternate career paths, develop application materials, and plan your future.

Students are encouraged to speak with faculty regarding their career interests. Additionally, the Career Center can help students explore their career path by applying to internships, jobs or graduate and professional school.  Students are able to make the appointments focused on the following topics at the Career Center:

  • Career Planning Assessments
  • Career/Major Exploration
  • Resume/CV Development
  • Cover Letter Writing and Editing
  • Internship/Job Search Planning
