Q: Is a PI for a limited submission opportunity selected on a “first-come-first served” basis?

A: No. A Principal Investigator interested in submitting to any federal, state or public agency that limits the number of proposals CSUF can submit must notify the Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC) no later than 90 days prior to submission deadline. The university’s Limited Submission OpportunitiesOpens in new window requires an internal review before any proposal can move forward. However, if a notice of interest to submit to a limited submission opportunity is received within 60 calendar days or less, the PI who first expressed interest in such opportunity will have priority. Please see Limited Submission Policy and Procedure for more details.
