Discrimination, including harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age, is prohibited by Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 and various state laws and all subsequent amendments by the U.S. Department of Education.
By CSU Board of Trustees policy, CSU does not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation.
CSU is responsible for providing a reliable, prompt and equitable response to a complaint of discrimination.
Inquiries concerning CSU’s compliance with these Acts, application of these laws to programs and activities of CSU, campus policies, complaint resolution and/or appeals processes, and discrimination/harassment complaint filing procedures may be addressed to the CSU officers assigned the administrative responsibility of reviewing such matters or directly with the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights listed below:
