2012 - 2013 Important Deadlines

2012  
March 2 Priority filing deadline for FAFSA (students filing after this date may miss out on certain types of aid at Cal State Fullerton). You must file a FAFSA each year to qualify for financial aid.
March 2 Deadline to file FAFSA and GPA verification to be considered for a new Cal Grant A or B. Applications postmarked March 2nd or earlier will be accepted as on-time.
June 14 Deadline to submit all requested documents for priority consideration for financial aid for Fall 2012 and Spring 2013.
June 15 Deadline to submit APLE application to Office of Financial Aid for upcoming academic year cycle.
August 24 Anticipated first disbursement of financial aid funds for the fall 2012 term. Disbursements are scheduled weekly as students become eligible for payment.
September 24 Fall “census date”: deadline to drop a class without affecting “satisfactory academic progress” status. If you receive a payment and drop a class on or before this date, you may be required to repay all or a portion of the financial aid you received. MORE
October 31 Last date to receive a prorated fee refund for complete withdrawal from classes for Fall 2012 - 60% point of the Fall semester. 
December 3 Deadline to submit request to process a Federal Direct Student loan for the fall semester for students graduating or changing academic programs at the end of fall term. If you are applying for a loan for the full year, the spring deadline date applies.
December 15 Fall 2012 Final Exams begin (December 15 - 21)

(Holiday Break Campus Closed: December 25 - January 1, 2013)

2013  
January 1 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available to be filed for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014. Reminder: Students must reapply for financial aid annually during the Spring preceding the fall term. FAFSA Priority Filing Deadline is March 2, 2013.
