Schedule a Practice Interview
We advise students and alumni (less than one year) to meet with a counselor in the Career Center to perform a mock interview. Mock interviews are conducted by Career Center counselors to simulate as much as possible the conditions of an actual professional school interview. During or after the mock interview, the career counselor will provide the student with coaching and feedback. Each student will receive a DVD of his or her mock interview to review. Call the Career Center to Schedule a Mock Interview, at phone: (657) 278-3121. Appointments are made on a first come, first served basis. No same day appointments will be accepted.
Alumni (more than one year since graduation) should contact the Health Professions Advising Office to learn more about the on-line resources that are available to graduates of CSUF.

Personal Statement Review
Our advisor does not provide grammatical corrections. The Writing Center , located on the first floor of the Pollack Library, can be of assistance in helping to find grammatical errors. Counselors in the Career Center will also review your personal statements. After you meet with the Writing or Career Center, you may then schedule an appointment to meet with our adviser. Please bring at least one paper copy of your personal statement for the advisor to review with you.
Phone Appointments
For those who do not live in close proximity to the University, we offer the option to schedule a phone appointment. Students who register for a phone appointment will provide their phone number when confirming appointment, and the adviser will call them at the time of their appointment. For those who live out of state, please note that we are on Pacific Standard Time (P.S.T).
Late Policy/No Show
If you do not cancel your appointment in time or do not show up, it will be recorded as a "No Show." If you arrive later than 5 minutes for your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule and it will be recorded as a "No Show."
We do understand that unexpected academic obligations, work commitments, commute issues and illnesses can affect your schedule. As a courtesy, contact us by phone
during normal business hours to let us know of any change as early as possible. This will allow up to offer the time slot to another student.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your appointment we require at least 6 hours notice. You should cancel online via the Appointy log in screen or via your registration email.
