Epidemiology

Public Health officials work in a vareity of settings that examine the spread of disease,  and develop programs to individuals, communities and large populations. Epidemiology examine the study of disease and  how it can become controlled to limit its impact on society. They examine hereditary conditions, biological issues, environmental and behavioral factors that could play a role in the spread of disease, health promotion and disease prevention.

 

Epidemiologist often work in the field to discover and investigate the cause of disease. They understand the sociological and demographics impact on disease. Many epidemiologist are employed by government or private agencies working with physicians, environmental health experts, chemists, biostatisticians, medical staff and the general public.
