Anti-Virus

It is important that you take steps to verify you are using the latest antivirus software available. Please take a few moments to be sure you are at the latest version and set up with the maximum protection enabled (Macintosh users please click HERE).

The campus licenses the McAfee antivirus suite from Network Associates for Windows computers. (If you have chosen to install another product, such as Norton or F-Prot, please take whatever steps are needed to protect yourself. Do not use McAfee in combination with any other antivirus program).

If your computer connects from on campus, your antivirus software can be automatically updated using McAfee Agent. To see if you have this already installed on your computer look for McAfee “M” in the lower right "tray" of your screen.

If this icon is not present, install ePolicy Orchestrator by clicking HERE.

Is My Antivirus up-to-date?

You should see a small shield with a red M on it in the lower right, "tray" area of your screen.

Right click on the icon, move the cursor down to "About VirusScan Enterprise," and click. A box like this should appear:
