Traffic Hits
All-Time High
The CSUF
Portal kicked off 2005 by hitting record-high traffic numbers
at the beginning of the spring semester. These figures represent
the highest traffic figures since the Portal was launched
in the fall of 2002.
In
the month of February, students logged on to the portal a
total of 438,138 times—an all-time high. Similarly,
faculty and staff logged on 36,214 times—also a record
high number.
Looking
more closely, 36,133 unique users logged on to the Faculty
and Student Portals, up from 29,306 a year ago for a 19% increase.
Last month’s figure also marks a 64% increase over February
of 2003.
Unique
student users increased by 6,348 (up 18.5%), and 471 more
faculty/staff (up 23%) logged in than a year ago. Overall
student usage is up 64% over the same period two years ago,
and faculty/staff usage is up 67%.
