MacBook Refresh phase 2
Upgrade any IT qualified laptop user who has an older style MacBook with a new MacBook. We also have a very limited supply of MacBook Airs as an alternative to the Macbooks. Macbook Airs are sleeker in design because they have removed the DVD drive and have a lower capacity HDD. Macbooks are thicker and heavier because they have everything you would want in a full featured laptop.
SGMH Projector Refresh in General-Use Classrooms
Replacing 25 aging projectors with new Panasonic projectors.
LH 4th floor Classroom Refresh
A couple of classrooms in Langsdorf Hall 4th floor are being updated with new HD projectors and our standard AV technology. This includes, new user-friendly lecterns that take the place of our old classroom technology cabinets. New document cameras that take the place of the old overhead projectors and new classroom speakers that produce a great audio experience.
Planned Projects
Dell 740 PC Refresh
We are planning on upgrading the old Dell 740 computer towers on the Fullerton campus. We will recycle the 740s throughout campus.
Apple TV Classroom Pilot
Examine the possibilities of putting Apple TV functionality into a limited number of general use classrooms. This will allow professors that use these rooms to wirelessly connect their iPad device to the AV technology that is already present.

General Use Classroom Remodels
Langsdorf Hall 3rd floor and Humanities 6th floor now have new interactive EPSON BrightLink projectors. Also installed the following classroom upgrades. New user-friendly lecterns that take the place of our old classroom technology cabinets. Campus Audio Visual Technology Upgrades
Various conference room and department lecture hall modernization projects.
iPad mini limited trial
We finished swapping out 70 iPad users with new iPad minis.
MacBook Refresh phase 1
We have finished upgrading any qualified laptop user that was using a MacBook running Windows 7 with a new HP ProBook 4430. If you are still using an old MacBook that is running Windows 7 and would like to be upgraded, please contact the Help Desk.
Mac OSX Lion, Office 2011 and 4GB RAM upgrade for all iMacs
All of the rollout iMacs have been upgraded to Lion, Office 2011, and 4GB RAM. If you are still using an older version of the Apple OS and would like to be upgraded, please contact the Help Desk.
Windows 7, Office 2010, and memory upgrade for Optiplex 740 models
Everyone using an IT rollout PC has been upgraded to Windows 7 and 4GB of RAM. If you were missed, please contact the Help Desk.
GX620 and GX745 Refresh
All Optiplex GX620s and GX745s will be upgraded to newer models with Windows 7, Office 2010, and 4GB RAM. The newest model is the Dell Optiplex 790. If you are still using a GX620 or GX745, please call the Help Desk.
