Mainframe

The administrative data processing needs of the university run on an IBM mainframe 9672-R24 running the OS/390 operating system. Mainframe computer operations is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the administrative computers. Some of their activities include batch job production scheduling and submission, line-printer output processing and distribution, tape library management, tape backups and file restoration, programming/scanning of optical mark reader forms including automatic test scoring, student evaluation of instructors and grade processing.
