Campus Wireless / Docking Network Access

Wireless users are now required to log into a web page with their campus user name and password in order to access the campus wireless network.  Users will be granted different levels of network access based on the login credentials they provide (faculty, staff, or student).  Guest access is available to campus visitors who do not have any login credentials; however guests will only receive limited http and https web access.

All computers will receive a remote security scan before being granted access to the campus network.

To log on to the wireless network, open any supported web browser:

  • Windows 2000          newest Internet Explorer or Netscape
  • Windows XP              newest Internet Explorer or Netscape
  • Mac OS X                  newest Safari

You will be re-directed to the Network Authentication logon page.

Faculty or Staff should enter their campus email username and password and click the Continue button.

Students should enter their student email name (for example AB123456) and PIN and click the continue button. To find out your student email address, follow this link: https://access.fullerton.edu/chkemail.html.

Guests should leave all the fields blank and click the "Guest Access" button.

Guests will only receive limited http and https web access.  Guests cannot access the campus portal or outlook web access.  If you need to access those services, please authenticate with a valid user name and password.

Macintosh users may be prompted to accept a certificate.  Simply click on the "Continue" button and you'll be taken to the login screen above.

After authenticating, all users must push the "Accept" button to allow their system to be scanned for security vulnerabilities before network access is granted.  CSUF recommends that Windows users set the Auto-Update function in Windows Update to "Automatic" and that Macintosh users run Software Update weekly to accelerate this process.

After the scan has been successfully completed, you will see this screen in your browser:

You now have a valid IP address and can access the network.  After 4 hours, your session will expire and you will need to log in again.
