Academic Technology Centers
The Academic Technology Centers provide leadership in the areas of teaching and learning, in collaboration with Information Learning Commons and the Accessible Technology Initiative.
In Spring 2011, three centers opened, providing services and support to students, faculty and staff:
Academic Technology Center (ATC) for Faculty
Phone: 657 – 278 – 4050
The ATC focuses on the development and provision of technology to the faculty. All equipment in the center can be reserved for use by faculty to complete work individually, or in collaboration with FDC coordinators or IT staff. The ATC provides technology support for faculty pursuits, but not pedagogical support for faculty teaching. Information Technology consultants and five Graduate Assistants staff the ATC to provide this support for faculty software and hardware needs, and are required to document and analyze faculty service requests. In spring of 2012, we expanded our facility to improve our ambiance and create more room for classroom size and personalized trainings.
Summer 2014: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Fall Semester 2014: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am-7:00 pm, Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
ATC Faculty Advisory Board members
The Academic Technology Center (ATC) sponsors a faculty advisory board with representation from each college and the library. These faculty members serve as advisors to the center, while also serving as early adopters of software and hardware and providing bi-directional communication links to the colleges’ technology issues and concerns.
