The Virtual Computer Lab (VCL) is a free service for CSUF students, faculty, and staff to run university-licensed programs via the Internet.

Available Software

There are virtual sessions available to check out to all students, faculty, and staff.

The following software is available to all campus community: Microsoft Office, SPSS Statistics, SPSS Amos, ArcGIS, Matlab, Food Processor, Minitab, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Visual Studio, ProSeries2014 Tax Prep, EViews 8.0, and much more...

Note:  Additional software titles are available based on your major.   To find out what software is available for your major contact your department. 

 Requirements 

Hardware:

VCL can run on Windows PC (32 bit or 64 bit), Mac, Linux, or ChromeBook.

Software:

Windows: Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) is already part of the OS and is readily available.

Mac: The Remote Desktop Connection client needs to be installed.

ChromeBook: The ChromeRDP client needs to be installed

Connection Speed:

 

VCL should work with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
