Get Assistance from ORD

Do you have an idea or concept that you’d like to get funding for? The Office of Research Development (ORD) will meet with you to discuss possible ideas, projects and prospects; then help you create and develop your idea and a plan to seek external funding. Limited Funding is available for course releases for those faculties pursuing complex grants and requiring time to develop partnerships.

A Research Grants Specialist (RGS) works collaboratively and in close coordination with their designated college’s dean, department chairs, campus administrators, staff and faculty to stimulate and facilitate the grantsmanship needs and skills of faculty. In addition, RGSs:

  • Assist with funding opportunity searches to identify appropriate funding resources
  • Identify and match opportunities to faculty interests
  • Disseminate opportunities broadly to faculty
  • Assist faculty in analyzing funding announcements to determine appropriateness of the opportunity
