Student Two-Factor Authentication

All currently enrolled students (includes Extension/Open University & OLLI) and incoming applicants are required to use DUO Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). 

This cybersecurity feature prompts students to confirm their identity before signing in to the campus Portal, applications which require Microsoft login and other campus resources. This will be done by authenticating with DUO, 2FA tool, via your cell phone, mobile app or personal email address.

Apps using Microsoft Login

To expand the use of Duo security, other applications that use the Microsoft login page will also be required to use Duo 2FA. 

Which Apps are affected?
  • Outlook (PC, Mac, iOS, Android)
  • Microsoft Office desktop, mobile, and online apps (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, MS Teams)
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Splashtop
  • Other Web Apps (e.g., Adobe.com, Adobe Sign, and Smartsheet)
