Michael Skroch

Michael J. Skroch (Skraw) has been at Sandia National Laboratories for 29 years in various roles  including managing exascale computing for solid mechanics and structural dynamics for    nuclear  weapon assurance, the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as the Strategic Capabilities Deputy for VP Energy Non-Proliferation, and High Consequence Security, managing programs in cyber- physical-behavior security simulations, serious gaming (sg.sandia.gov), cybersecurity research, and international non-proliferation and cooperative monitoring. He established multiple leading red teams in the nation at Sandia including the Information Design Assurance Red Team (IDART) (idart.sandia.gov). His work also extended into directed energy threats, High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP), and TEMPEST. Michael also served in the Pentagon as a special assistant for Information Assurance and Survivability to a Principal Deputy, Assistant Secretary of Defense and as a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where he managed two cyber security programs. He also served as a member of the government’s Infosec Research Council (IRC). Michael has worked for public awareness of cyber and infrastructure security issues through numerous speaking engagements and assisting the press. His interviews have been featured through television segments that include PBS Frontline’s CYBERWAR!, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, and Voice of America. His interviews have appeared in USA Today, Discover Magazine, Scientific American, as well as a number of technical and local publications. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology and his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he focused on control and information theory.

 

 

Antony Selim

Antony Selim, CISSP, P.E

Antony Selim received a B.S. in Engineering and a B.S. in Physics from Harvey Mudd College(HMC) in 1997. He also received a Masters in Engineering from HMC in 1998 with an emphasis in Digital Communication. Antony is a certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California. Since 1997 he has been employed at Raytheon Company at Fullerton, California. He spent the first 8 years of his career working on wireless communication systems. More recently, Antony has worked on the Security Architecture and Security Risk Assessment of large integrated computer systems and networks. He has presented multiple security papers and lectures both within Raytheon and at California State University, Fullerton. Antony is currently one of Raytheon's leaders in Cybersecurity.

Glen Newton
 

Glenn Newton, Ph.D., CISSP

Glen E. Newton, Ph. D., CISSP, is a consulting software engineer with Unisys Corporation in Roseville, Minnesota. Dr. Newton joined Unisys in 1976 after earning his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Iowa and serving on the Washington State University Computer Science Department faculty. At Unisys, he helps define the direction and architecture for server and network security. He has written numerous internal documents analyzing and defining security features and processes as well as external technical papers on Unisys security offerings.

 

 

Mike Kain

Mike Kain

Mike Kain has 30 years of software development experience and has a background in network security as well as other security areas, such as assessment and audit. In addition, Mike has been a Teaching Adjunct Professor at Drexel University (College of Computing and Informatics) for over 10 years, most of his courses have a security focus.

 

 

 

 



David G. Maw

David Maw has worked in the computer industry since the late 1970’s with responsibilities  spanning highly secure and reliable Unisys mainframe systems, Microsoft Windows, web-based  cloud infrastructure management and network security. He has been responsible for the  architecture and implementation of several secure commercial multi-tenant systems, as well as participating in penetration testing of such systems.
