Daphne Tinsley Memorial Scholarship


Description:

This scholarship honors the legacy of Daphne Tinsley by supporting students who demonstrate leadership, academic achievement, and active engagement within the AARC community.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Active participation in AARC programs or community service
  • Proven leadership and extracurricular involvement
  • Demonstrated financial need (via FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application)

Award Amount: $1000

Issei Pioneers
Scholarship


Description:

Established through an endowed gift from A Tribute to Issei Pioneers Fund , this scholarship recognizes students whose leadership and service reflect a commitment to academic excellence and the Japanese American community.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership or service in the Japanese American community
  • Strong academic performance and community engagement

Award Amount: $1000

Eriksen LGBTQ Grant Program


Description:

Provides emergency and gender-affirming financial support to CSUF students experiencing urgent need due to healthcare costs, legal documentation changes, crises, or other barriers to educational persistence.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled and matriculated CSUF student
  • Urgent financial need (documentation encouraged)
  • Exhausted all other forms of assistance
  • Must meet with the Senior Coordinator of LKQRC

Average Award: $500

Lavender & Beyond: P.R.I.S.M. Award


Description:

Honors a graduating student who embodies the spirit of PRISM — Passionate, Resilient, Insightful, Social justice–oriented, and Makes a difference — within the LGBTQ community.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduating CSUF student
  • Attending the Lavender Cultural Recognition Celebration
  • Demonstrates the PRISM qualities through engagement and advocacy

Award Amount: $1000

Nominate a Student for the PRISM Award

Aboorva & Prabakar Scholarship


Description:

Established through the generosity of Abinaya Prabakar, this scholarship supports CSUF students with limited or no access to federal or state financial aid, recognizing those committed to the undocumented and international student communities.

Eligibility Criteria:

Current CSUF student with limited financial aid access

Active involvement with the undocumented and/or international student communities

Minimum GPA: 2.5 (undergrad) / 3.0 (graduate)

Enrolled full-time and continuing enrollment next semester

Award Amounts: $1000

Immigration
Relief Fund


Description:

Provides funding for CSUF students applying for immigration relief processes such as DACA renewals, Advance Parole, or Green Card petitions. Each student may request up to $600 per application cycle.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be a currently enrolled CSUF student

Must meet with the TDRC Coordinator and CARECEN to discuss eligibility

Average Award Amount: $600
